Hofheim am Taunus - the town center and the six districts of Diedenbergen, Langenhain, Lorsbach, Marxheim, Wallau and Wildsachsen, are uniquely idyllically situated on the Taunus slope between Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. A green island for living and working in the middle of the Rhine-Main region.

The city centers of Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden and Mainz are only around 20 kilometers away. The connection to the national transportation network is extremely convenient: three of the six districts have direct access to the A 66 freeway (Wiesbaden - Frankfurt). Two S-Bahn stops (Hofheim and Lorsbach) provide a direct connection to Frankfurt am Main.

Hofheim is also a town surrounded by greenery: the forest accounts for almost 40 percent of the town's area - so recreation starts right on the doorstep. The large municipal forest and adjoining state forest are part of the Hochtaunus Nature Park. The vast forests and an altitude of 120 to 410 meters above sea level ensure a favorable climate.

The cultural life is multifaceted: Theater, cabaret and concerts in the town hall, lively history and attractive exhibitions in the town museum, a wide range of media in the town library, extensive holdings in the town archive - and last but not least, committed art and cultural associations.

In the school sector, Hofheim occupies a leading position in the Main-Taunus district: The town has a wide range of educational opportunities with many types of schools in public and private sponsorship. There are more than 240 clubs, groups and associations with a wide variety of aims in Hofheim and its districts.
