Declaration on digital accessibility
The district town of Hofheim am Taunus is working to make its websites and mobile applications/data accessible. This declaration on accessibility in accordance with ER Directive 2016/2102 applies exclusively to the central online offer Hofheim.de, but not to linked offers and services.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
Hofheim.de is largely compatible with the currently valid regulations on accessibility BIT 2.0, 2019/WCAG 2.1).

- Text alternatives: It is largely ensured that all non-text content, such as images or graphics, are provided with meaningful alternative texts to make them accessible to screen readers. - Customizable presentation: The website is designed in such a way that it remains usable without loss of content or functionality even when the text size is enlarged or adjusted.
2. usability:
- Keyboard accessibility: all interactive elements, such as links, buttons or forms, are fully accessible and operable via the keyboard.
- Focus management: the visible focus is clearly recognizable to make orientation easier for users.
3. comprehensibility:
- Clear navigation: Consistent and intuitive navigation makes it easier for all users to access content

The functions listed below are not accessible:
- Maps, plans and aerial images: Unfortunately, there is currently no accessible alternative to online map applications that we are aware of. There is always an alternative in text form for all information offered in the context of map applications or the form of presentation using such an application represents an additional offer of content already stored in accessible form.
The district town of Hofheim am Taunus is working on further expanding its barrier-free offerings.
